Foursquare Day, 4/16 and Hana has Treats to Giveaway!

Friday, April 16, 2010 is Foursquare Day!

We love how you guys have embraced foursquare… our check ins have doubled the last month.

@hanajapanese fans just KNOW- we love it when you get in on the action online. so come in, show your waiter your check-in, and we’ll “swarm” you with goodies from the kitchen you’ve NEVER HAD BEFORE. They’re secret off-menu chef treats that we won’t have again. That’s right… get it tomorrow, buzzy bees, or you’re gonna miss the honey. And why wouldn’t you come in on a Friday with all the fresh fish for the weekend?

During lunch, we’ll also do a random $50 gift certificate giveaway to one lucky @foursquare addict.

As always, our mayor will dine on one sashimi order they’d like, whatever they’d like, on the house. Take this opportunity to try and unseat Mike…. frankly, we think he’s getting a little bit too comfortable these days.

While the cat’s away…

So, we appreciate your efforts- Hana fans (we call them Hanacores) have been flocking the last week, and we’re getting tons of foursquare checkins, but no one can seem to unseat Mike. But-

Mike’s away this week. In France, poor guy.

So, while he’s gone, we want to give you the chance you’ve been missing. The most checkins this week will will a dinner for 2, on Hana. But not just ANY dinner. This is an off-menu, kitchen AND sushi dinner, created by Kaz and Rick, just for you.  What, wait?

The person who checks in the most between Tuesday lunch and Sunday dinner this week will win a dinner for two at Hana of selections by Kaz and Rick.

Le Rules:

1. If you don’t tweet it, it doesn’t count. We need a way to track who checks in, so your checkins MUST be tweeted.

2. You must purchase something each visit you check in for it to count. One check in per meal.

3. The dinner is for 2, it will have to be on an evening at Kaz and Rick’s discretion, and dishes will be their selections. (We’re cool so of course we’ll avoid anything you say will require you need an epi-pen)

4. No taunting Mike. Even the mayor has to take vacation.

Okonomiyaki, Chu Toro and my favorite – Kobe Beef

Exciting new things added to our specials boards this week – for sure!  Can you say Okonomiyaki, Chu Toro and my favorite – Kobe Beef: as sushi, sashimi and charcoaled in front of you at your table!  Don’t miss out, because these will seriously only be offered for a limited time.

As for the Okonomiyaki, I know some folks have been asking for a while.  For those who don’t know what it is, here’s a quick Wikipedia description – “A Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients”.  And we’re not talking the Aunt Jemima kind!
